PHILLIPE CHIARELLA
Programme & TRAINING Manager

After working in the London night-time economy for over 12 years, Phillipe joined the Safer Business Network as the Programme Manager for the Safer Sounds Partnership.

Previously, he has been the General Manager for one of London’s largest nightclubs. Phillipe has a history of developing and delivering policies which have later been regarded as best practice in the night-time economy. Whilst working in the night-time economy, Phillipe developed a strong reputation for partnership, working to improve safety in his local area and across London. He has delivered key projects which have helped reduce crime in London by working with key partners; including the Metropolitan Police, BIDs, BCRPs and Councils.

Whilst working with Safer Business Network, Phillipe founded the Safer Sound Partnership, supporting venues and promoters across London by delivering training and the sharing of best practices to promote consistency of operations and help to create safer events for all.

Leading the Safer Sounds work to support LGBTQ+ venues, Phillipe directly facilitated the London LGBTQ+ Venues Forum; creating and managing the LGBTQ+ Venues Business Support Service which supported LGBTQ+ venues during the pandemic.

Currently, Phillipe is working with the Met Police to review and refresh the Welfare & Vulnerability Engagement (WAVE) training programme, the associated guidance and the Ask for Angela campaign.

Previously Phillipe has been a Director of Vauxhall One Business Improvement District, Chair of a local Ward Panel, Chair of the Vauxhall Safe Group, Chair of the Safer Lambeth BCRP and Co-Chair of the Lambeth LGBT Network.

HANNAH WADEY
Chief executive

Hannah Wadey has worked with Safer Business Network since 2015, growing the company to the leading business crime partnership in London, as referred to in the MOPAC Crime & Policing Plan 2017-21.

After completing a degree in criminology, she worked in community safety within local government.  Building strong and collaborative partnerships across stakeholders and local community, she was able to tackle several high profile projects in some of inner London's most diverse and challenging communities.

It was upon joining the New West End Company in 2013, she picked up a keen interest in the business community, and its importance to London prosperity; an interest she continues to advance as CEO of the Safer Business Network.
